Our Mission

At the Gift of Music, our mission is to increase access to musical instruments and education for underprivileged young musicians through innovative, needs-based programs. We receive instrument and accessory donations of all kinds from all over the country! All donated instruments that are school-appropriate are refurbished in our state-of-the-art Instrument Repair Center and put into our scholastic program, Access to Instruments which assists students in acquiring a band-director approved, quality-brand instrument. All other donations such as guitars, vintage and professional instruments are sold in the Gift of Music Store – not only do the funds from these sales help us keep the lights on, they allow for us to buy brand new instruments for our scholastic program!
